St. Valentine's Special Edition 2007

A Little Known Romantic Castle of Bavaria ...
Specially brought to you from my romantic genes during this festive season :) I know that some of the guys are going to hate me for posting this blog because their gals will start requesting for trip to this city. :) Sorry guys!!!
Ok.. my pick is Neuschwanstein Castle, Fussen, Germany.

Without doubt, the charm of the castle's architecture is the main attraction that draws many tourists to this little-known town each year. The town is 2-hour train away from Munich and it is called Fussen. In fact, many will recognize the name of the castle more than the name of the city. The pictures below speak for themselves.

Upon arriving at the Fussen train station, escort your honey to the special bus waiting just in front of the train station. The special bus eventually cuts through the heart of little Bavarian town and brings you straight to the foothill of Neuschwanstein Castle.

A casual walk from the bus stop will lead you to the ticketing point where both of you are immediately welcomed by Hohenschwangau Castle, the royal residence of King Ludwig II's father. Upon entering this castle park, gentleman... it is time to show that you love your honey more than she ever knows.... ;)

Generously fork out the money (I think it is Euro 20) and let your lady to take a horse-carriage ride with you as her prince charming that strolls through the Bavarian forest with chilly breeze accompanied by excerpt of melodious bird's love song. You would not want your lady to hike up the hill to the castle, would you? :)

When you arrive at the end of the horse-carriage path, help your lady alight from the carriage, gentlely wrap your arm around her and walk her up the final portion of the hill before the castle. Let the mesmerizing castle casts the magical romantic spell on both of you. The rest of your romantic excursion will just fall into places naturally. Give her warm kiss on her cheek when you arrive at the entrance of the castle and say "Welcome to my humble castle where my lady, you is the queen here. " Surely her heart will start to melt and love you more. ;)

A visit into the castle is highly recommended as both of you will be pleasantly impressed with King Ludwig II's passion in arts and music. Let's its supreme interior design with the theme of Royal Swan and the music hall with finely tuned acoustic effect submerge both of you into the magical world full of fantasy. Close your eyes and imagine yourself sitting besides your lady enjoying the masterpiece of royal orchestra as one of exclusive companions of King Ludwig II in the 19th century.

Gentlemen, aren't your hearts moved by the ultimate romance this castle could offer you? Treat your lady a trip to this exclusive castle after you read my blog. Ya!

The best reason of all is the architecture of this castle is the actual inspiration for Cinderella's Castle in Disneyland. So, how could she not love you more if she knows that the reason you bring her there in the horse carriage is simply - she is the Cinderella of your heart.

And, you know how the Cinderella story ends right? They live happily ever after.... (thanks Vel for pointing out the magic line...!!!)
